Recent Work

In warmer weather I prefer painting “plein air”, that is outside from life. This past year I painted on the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Michigan coastline. During the winter, I paint in my attic studio. Usually the subject is from a photo, these often become the larger works, sometimes I refine a summer study, or occasionally attempting to capture the color of snow from a studio window.
